B2_bladder and bowel retraining

We will teach techniques to control urgency and frequency for the bladder.  Difficulty voiding is another problem that some people have and this can be dealt with by providing education and pelvic floor training.

For bowel control, appropriate defecation techniques will be discussed, along with techniques to desensitize or sensitize the rectal walls, depending on the current problem.

b2_biofeedback and neuromuscular stimulation

1. Monitor the changes:  Immediately see changes that can be made during contraction and relaxation of the targeted muscles.

2. Skill acquisition:  With this powerful tool, we can give positive feedback to be used as a reward to reinforce the positive changes in the body.

This technique will be used in the clinic to enable the patient to develop the skills that they need, according to their specific conditions.

For those in need, fluid management, bladder and bowel irritants will be discussed and advice will be given.

b2_progressive abdominal muscle training

Safe and effective progressive abdominal muscle training is provided.  Balanced progressive abdominal muscle training is important not only functionally, but also for controlling the pressure within the abdominal cavity to reduce the downward pressure to the pelvic organs.  This is also very important for people with prolapse.
